Pipeline and Asset Integrity Engineer Onshore - Jakarta

Roles and Responsibility
  • Assist Operations on full life cycle asset integrity engineering of all plant fixed equipment. Apply long-term strategic engineering solutions to prevent corrosion and optimize production.
  • Ensure the asset registry for all fixed equipment is maintained
  • Communicate threats to asset integrity of fixed equipment to operations
  • Implement / support risk based inspection programs to improve asset integrity
  • Implement / support asset integrity condition management strategies and programs for loss containment purposes including corrosion management
  • Carry out routine analysis of inspection and conditioning management programs, keeping record of asset deterioration patterns and behaviors
  • Troubleshoot fixed equipment recurrent problems and apply root case analysis (RCA) practices to equipment failure investigations
  • Maintain ownership of the Degradation Manuals and ensure they are up to date and accurately reflect any changes identified due to process changes, turnaround inspections or monitoring programs
  • Support the asset integrity continuous improvement program incorporating strategies, polices, codes of practice, procedures, specifications and guidelines
Required Qualification
  • Typically 5+ years of pressure equipment integrity / corrosion management engineering experience in a role supporting plant operations with an Engineering Degree or an Engineering Technical Diploma
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Pressure equipment integrity / corrosion management
    • Pipeline integrity / corrosion management
    • Supporting plant operations
    • Corrosion and degradation prevention strategies
    • Metallurgy, materials, welding and quality assurance
    • Pressure Equipment Integrity programs and International standards (ASME)
    • Inspection Test Plans and / or risk-based inspections

Coordinator Project QA / QC - Jakarta

Roles and Responsibility
  • Oversee, advice and coordinate all technical quality control matters within the projects department of COPI.
  • Ensure that the activities of the project teams and the EPCI contractors are conducted to the appropriate quality standards.
  • Establish and coordinate an effective and efficient quality inspection services within COPI projects.
  • Assist and support in the development, maintenance and compliance assurance of the Projects Group Management System, for leading the group’s efforts to develop the management systems required to support a sustainable project execution capability in Indonesia.
  • Responsible for providing assistance to projects with expertise in special Quality engineering.
  • To develop national company personnel.
Key Objectives
  • Draft or modify suitable existing procedures to ensure their efficient systematic application within the proposed project team.
  • Assist and support project teams in the development of project specific quality plans and management systems.
  • Advice to Project QA / QC coordinator during execution of special process in engineering, procurement, manufacture, fabrication, installation and testing.
  • Work closely with the QA / QC group to communicate and coordinate execution of special QA / QC programs.
  • Clarify with members of the project team how the procedures will operate in practice and assist in establishing systems to facilitate this.
  • Assist project specific teams to review and approve the EPCI Contractors Quality Control Plan and Quality Assurance Plan
  • Oversee the interface between the EPCI contractor’s Quality Plan and the Project Control Procedures are adequate and they are managed effectively.
  • Liaise closely with the Certification Engineer responsible for Indonesian permitting and certification to ensure that the progress of the work is maintained and the government / third party requirements are met.
  • Preparing, reviewing and approve if necessary Quality engineering documents during FEL-1, FEL-2 and FEL3 and continue during execution and commissioning.
  • Ensure that the fabricators, vendors and manufacturers meet all quality requirements by initiating audits and inspections.
  • Ensure a formal procedure for tracking and resolution of all non-compliance issues is in place on each contract.
  • Bring all non-conformance items to the attention of the proper project team members
  • Act as stand in during periods of vacation / sickness for project specific quality personnel.
  • Ensure each project has adequate staff to carry out quality control duties throughout a project.
  • Responsible to promote the efficient use of manpower resources through functional guidance to QC Inspection Coordinators / Inspectors to maintain a cost-effective inspection service to the contract without sacrificing quality.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Contractor’s execution special process related with Quality result.
  • If necessary witness special test during qualification of procedures.
  • Prepare standardization procedure to handle special quality engineering.
  • Assist to train QA / QC personnel with special method or procedure.
  • Assist QA / QC engineer during special audit that need their expertise.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a system for auditing the management system to ensure compliance and to seek continuous improvement in work processes.
  • Directly supervise the work of the Quality Engineer, interface and work closely with the QA organization within projects.
  • Support and take part in Business Unit and corporate audits as appropriate.
  • Required to mentor National personnel so that they may gain the experience necessary for development.
  • Expected to develop such as to widen their knowledge to all areas of responsibility within the QA / QC and Certification Group.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance representatives and Project Managers monitoring the implementation and maintenance of contractor safety and quality systems.
Required Qualification
Required & Preferred Skills / Competencies
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent) in a primary Engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas construction industry with a broad background and significant experience in major project QC including strong technical skills in inspection, fabrication & installation.
  • Experienced in the area of the Oil and Gas industry and related with Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Working knowledge of key applicable specifications and codes.
  • Audit experience at manufacturing and installation facilities and sites.
  • Strong technical skills in the development and application of quality management systems with thorough knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in project engineering and management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Able to forge productive working relationships with all Project personnel, Company personnel and with contractor.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, communications skills, in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Well-developed supervisory skill with the ability to work as part of a team in a constructive and positive way, able to influence work in a manner which avoid conflict and to adopt a supporting / staff role to project execution teams.

Desired Experience Level
  • Experience in supervision of Inspection personnel.
  • Experience in scheduling and providing functional guidance to inspection personnel.
Special Skills, Training, & Certifications
  • Industry recognizes qualified QC Engineer with proven practical experience.
Additional Information
  • This position will be required to mentor National personnel.
  • This position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia and is a "sustainable organisation position" within the projects group.
  • The holder will work as an equal peer of other lead positions within the team, will work with one direct subordinate but will influence the work of others widely across the project group.
